This is the fork mount that we recommend for our GT100-45 binocular telescope. It provides rock-solid stability for that binocular, as well as our 16-pound Signature 20x110 and 28x110 models. The Helix 10-inch Fork Mount has a bottom mounting plate with 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch threads, which means that it can be used with virtually any heavy-duty tripod. The tripods we recommend are our own Series 5000 and the high-end the Bogen 028B (for those who want an adjustable height center column) and the Universal Astronomics Light Surveyor, both available at time of purchase. The fork mount is machined from heavy aluminum stock, and has a slight offset to allow it to be used with straight-through as well as angled binoculars without running into the tripod. The center of gravity of the instrument is balanced during use, and with the included pan handle moving around the sky is a breeze. This is by far the smoothest fork mount we've ever offered. The black-anodized fork mount is designed with an integrated 1/4"-20 threaded stud to connect to any of our larger binoculars.
