Looking for the giant binocular that offers more bang-for-the-buck than any other? Most big binocular users agree that the 20x80 size does just that. Garrett Optical’s Gemini® series represent an outstanding value in large-aperture binoculars. Designed with the amateur astronomer in mind, the Gemini series are an affordable way to build memories under the stars with family and friends. They're also an excellent choice for long-range hunting, birding, marine and surveillance applications.
The lightweight Gemini LW versions provide the most bang-for-the-buck of any binoculars around. Every Gemini big binocular features prisms polished from high-index BaK4 glass and our best-quality Broadband Multi-Coatings on every air-to-glass surface (including the prisms). It's features like these that make Gemini giant binoculars such a great choice for amateur astronomers, hunters, and birders. Binoculars excel at deep space observation, but quick looks at solar system objects are also rewarding - at 20x you may be able to glimpse Saturn's rings, the moons of Jupiter will be in evidence, and Earth's own moon will reveal intense detail.
The 20x80 size of giant binoculars provides the perfect balance between aperture and magnification. The Gemini 20x80 LW adds the additional features of a rubber-padded aluminum center-bracket for easy tripod mounting, 3° true field of view and remarkably light weight of just 5 lbs., 2.75 oz. The 20x80 LW’s lightness means that this big binocular can be mounted on a variety of medium-duty tripods that would normally be unsuitable for so large an instrument. That translates to a lighter overall setup and significantly reduces the investment necessary to procure a solid mounting. Each binocular is covered by our two-year warranty and 30-day return policy.
Every Garrett Optical binocular must pass a rigorous 14-point inspection that insures a high degree of both optical and mechanical performance, including accurate collimation. Any necessary adjustments are performed by a highly experienced technician on a U.S. Navy Mark V Collimator.
