The Gemini 20x80 LW adds the additional features of a rubber-padded aluminum center-bracket for easy tripod mounting, 3° true field of view and remarkably light weight of just 5 lbs., 2.75 oz. The new 20x80 UL (Ultralight) is based on the same chassis as the popoular 20x80 LW, but does not utilize an integrated center bracket for even lighter weight of 3 lbs., 15.75 oz. The 20x80 LW’s lightness means that this big binocular can be mounted on a variety of medium-duty tripods that would normally be unsuitable for so large an instrument. Every Garrett Optical binocular must pass a rigorous 14-point inspection that insures a high degree of both optical and mechanical performance, including accurate collimation. Any necessary adjustments are performed by a highly experienced technician on a U.S. Navy Mark V Collimator. |
